The Health Committee exists to help our community and our church family live life more fully as we live according to God's health principles. We believe that God has given us these principles to help us maintain health not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually.
Come and enjoy sampling vegetarian and vegan food Sunday, November 8, 2015; receive free health screenings and more at the health fair; or have a cholesterol screening blood test for a small fee, provided by Kettering Medical Center for Community Wellness. Four times a year, you may bring a friend or the whole family and enjoy a delightful vegetarian meal, and take the recipes home. Cost: $8 per person, $4 for children under 13. Reservations are required.
Cooking classes and presentations are offered by the church to provide information on healthy lifestyles. Cooking demonstrations show how to prepare vegetarian and vegan food.
Depression doesn’t have to depress you anymore. Dr. Neil Nedley’s Depression Recovery program has successfully helped many people.
The Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) is a simple 30-day lifestyle education program where you can discover how to reduce disease risk factors by making healthy choices. The goal is to lower blood cholesterol, triglycerides, and blood sugar levels by making health lifestyle modifications.
