Mission Statement

We are committed to help our community and our church family live life more fully as we live according to God's health principles. We believe that God has given us these principles to help us maintain health not only physically, but also mentally and spiritually.

Community Health Fair - Sunday, Sept. 18, 2016 10 am to 2 pm

  • Free Blood sugar screening, information on sleep hygiene, the skinny on added sugar and exercise 101.
  • Cholesterol Screening (fasting recommended) available for $25 cash or credit.
  • Stress information, skin cancer screening, assess your strength, flexibility, & balance.
  • Tobacco cessation information & more
  • Nutritional information for adults & children
  • Human foosball and inflatable obstacle course for all ages
  • 3 different cooking demonstrations at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm & 1:30 pm in fellowship hall with free samples & recipes available.
  • Children’s cooking demonstrations for ages 6-13 at 11:30 am, 12:30 pm & 1:30 pm in multipurpose room.
  • Free 5 min massage

Everything is FREE! (except cholesterol screening, exact change appreciated)


Vegetarian Dinner Club

Four times a year, you may bring a friend or the whole family and enjoy a delightful vegetarian meal, and take the recipes home. Cost: $8 per person, $4 for children under 13. Reservations are required.

Vegetarian Cooking Class

Cooking classes and presentations are offered by the church to provide information on healthy lifestyles. Cooking demonstrations show how to prepare vegetarian and vegan food.

Depression Recovery Program

Depression doesn’t have to depress you anymore. Dr. Neil Nedley’s Depression Recovery program has successfully helped many people.

CHIP Complete Health Improvement Program

The Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) is a simple 30-day lifestyle education program where you can discover how to reduce disease risk factors by making healthy choices.

Faith Community Nurse Ministry

Centerville SDA Church is pleased to have Mary Matese, MSN/Ed, RN, FCN. She has completed her training at Kettering Health Network and provides health education and resource services for those interested.
